Issue – You may find all the check boxes, restore to default button, and reset button grayed out as shown in the below screen shot under Tools -> Internet Options:
Cause - This issue happens, when you run any IE tweaking utilities, or by some third party security programs.
Solution - To resolve this issue, you need to change the DWORD value to 0 for the following Reg key “Advanced” under the following path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwarePoliciesMicrosoftInternet ExplorerControl Panel
If you dont find the key, you can go ahead and create a new one.

Simply download, unzip, and run the .reg file. Ensure to backup the registry before you run the tweak.
